Golf Equipment Tips To Help Lower Your Score

When you get into top of the line clubs, there truly isnt much of a difference between the different makes and brands. There is quite a difference between the top of the line clubs and the cheap knock-offs, but you have to take into consideration how much you are going to play. If you only plan on playing a few times a year, there is no point in dropping a grand on a set of clubs.

When you begin searching for the perfect set of clubs, there are really four things you want to take into consideration; the size of the head and swing weight, flex of shaft, lie angle and the loft. When looking at the size of the head, a general rule of thumb is the larger club head you have the lower your score will be. This will allow you to work with the ball more and get more power from it.

When looking at the shaft of the club, the flex of the shaft is what you truly need to focus on. The flex will influence the ball flight and give you more distance, but it can be more difficult to control. A stiff shaft will give you more control, but you will lose a lot of distance on your shot. Generally, the faster your swing is the stiffer the shaft should be.

The lie angle can be tested by placing your clubs on a lie board or looking at the divots. A divot that is deeper at the toe shows you have your lie is too flat, while divots that are deeper in the heel show you that your lie is too steep. Having a lie that is too flat will cause the head of your club to turn in a way that you will push your shots, and a lie that is too steep will do the exact opposite.

The last tip you want to look at is the loft. The golf club loft should especially be considered when looking at the woods. A slower swing will require more loft and flex and the opposite is the case for a faster swing. High handicap players should get a loft of 9 to 12 degrees.

While there are many things you want to take into consideration when purchasing your golf equipment, the best golf equipment tip is to focus primarily on the clubs you purchase. The clubs you buy can have a huge affect on your shot, and the way you swing a club will help decipher what clubs are best for you.

A Valentine's Day Dessert to Make With Your Kids- Heart-Shaped Strawberry Mini-Cakes

HEART-SHAPED STRAWBERRY mini-CAKES.

Say "I love you" to your kids this Valentine's Day by helping them make this delicious dessert. You will have to supervise your children, while they mix the batter and use the oven. But of course, you'll want to help decorate the cakes. After all, that's half the fun.

Here's What You Will need:

1 heart-shaped mini-cake tin (makes 6 mini-cakes at a time - you can find these pans an fine cookware and craft stores)

1 (18 oz.) box strawberry cake mix

1 (15 oz.) can strawberry pie filling

1 (8 oz.) tub nondairy whipped dessert topping

1 bag Valentine candy hearts

1 (3 oz.) jar heart-shaped candy sprinkles

Directions:

Help children prepare cake mix according to package directions. Have children fill each section of the heart-shaped mini-cake tin 1/3 full with batter (Note: a regular size box of cake mix will make about 24 mini-cakes, so there will be enough batter for several batches of mini-cakes). Bake mini-cakes according to package directions.

Let cakes cool, then wrap the cakes in plastic wrap so they will stay moist.

When ready to serve, layer the top of one mini-cake with strawberry pie filling, then top it with another mini-cake to make a heart-shaped sandwich. put a few dollops of whipped cream on top of the sandwich, then decorate with candy hearts and/or heart-shaped candy sprinkles.

Decorate only as many cakes as you plan to serve immediately. save the others to decorate and serve later.

Happy Valentine's Day!

  Exercising Through Pregnancy

Sure, you get to go out shopping for new exercise clothing, but exercising through your pregnancy is beneficial in a variety of other ways. It helps you control your weight during pregnancy and makes it easier to lose weight after your baby is born. It keeps your muscles toned and flexible, for shorter and easier labor and delivery. You will also be less prone to suffer from depression, constipation, back aches and varicose veins.

Some forms of exercise or sports should be avoided by pregnant women. Swimming and water aerobics provide great cardio workouts and tone your body, while the water supports your weight, virtually eliminating stress to your joints. On the other hand, because water and snow skiing and horseback riding increase your risk of falling, you should avoid them. Cycling and stair-climbing provide good cardio workouts, too, especially if you use a stationary bike and add handrails to your stair-climber to reduce the risk of falling.

If aerobic exercise is part of your fitness regimen before pregnancy, you should be able to continue with it. many gyms and clubs offer pregnancy aerobics classes. Theyre not only safe, but fun, and the social interaction with other pregnant women can be an additional bonus!

Kegel exercises strengthen your pelvic floor, which may help you have an easier birth by aiding in controlling your muscles during labor and delivery. You will be far less likely to have bladder leaks and hemorrhoids during pregnancy, and Kegel exercises are recommended to regain bladder control and aid in perineal healing after delivery. They are easy to do and can be done at any time, in any place, because no one will ever know youre doing them!

Yoga is another way to help you stay fit during pregnancy. Yoga relieves stress and pressure in your body, and you can safely practice it at home with a Yoga video for pregnant women. Avoid the more rigorous exercises and those that must be done lying flat on your back. In your second and third trimesters, lying flat on your back decreases blood flow to your womb, which is not good for you or your baby!

If youre already in the habit of running or jogging, you may be able to continue doing it during your pregnancy. Just be sure to ask your doctor if its safe for you. Walking is great exercise, too! Its easier on your joints than running and jogging, but still gives you a good workout. With all three exercises, do warm-up stretches, be sure to stay well-hydrated, dont allow yourself to become overheated, and wear comfortable, slip-proof shoes that provide the foot support you need.

If you dont exercise at a health club, its a good idea to have an exercise partner. A partner gives you someone to talk to, can spot for you so your not as likely to fall or strain muscles and comes in really handy during the later stages of your pregnancy when its difficult to get off the floor (or the sofa) without a helping hand!

Remember, before you start a pregnancy exercise routine, or make changes to your current one, always ask your doctor if its OK to make these changes. If at any time during exercising you experience dizziness, nausea, shortness of breath, chest pain or vaginal bleeding, immediately stop. If symptoms persist, see your doctor.

Exercising through your pregnancy helps keep you healthy and fit! And did I mention that you get to go shopping?

Staying healthy during your pregnancy isnt as difficult as it may seem. You really can have a healthy pregnancy without pounds! You can look and feel better, have less stressful labor and delivery, and a quicker recovery time, with better muscle tone and less weight to lose after your baby is born! So get, and stay, healthy! I promise you wont regret it! Want to know the exact steps that will accomplish these goals? Click Here To Access Your Step-By-Step Fit Pregnancy Guide.
